Blue Eagle – Biography
How did you hear about Aigle Bleu?
Is it through his blog, on which the philosopher in him reveals himself, sometimes letting his incisive side express itself? Is it through the liquid incense and shamanic perfumes he has created for the well-being of all? Have you been moved by his music? Has he been referred to you for shamanic healing? Or is it the shamanic practitioner, scholar of ancestral knowledge, who inspires you?
Yes, Aigle Bleu is all this and more. He is first and foremost a man who lives by his principles, which he applies in all areas of his life.
In his early days as a “shamanic practitioner and healer”, he was asked to help people in hospital. He could not, however, purify places or people by fumigation, which is the basis for all such work. He sought a way to respect all aspects of the care that had been passed on to him. He combined the virtues of sacred Native American herbal oils to create a liquid incense. Surprised by the effectiveness of this combination, he created a company to distribute it to as many people as possible, therapist or not. His first fragrance is now called Chiiyaam.
Since then, the company president that he is, accompanies his team with the ancestral principles of the First Peoples. We do not find a vertical hierarchy but a horizontal organization where everyone has the same importance when making decisions (talking circle, opal method).
As a musician, he also applies the principles of music therapy to his art. In most of his concerts, he channels and improvises according to the needs of the audience. Through the sounds, rhythm and melodies he creates, we can travel on his beneficial vibrations. His compositions are inspiring and bring us back to our roots in a warm and peaceful way.
When he received the message from his ancestors to pass on what he had received (from his elders and from what he had developed through his daily practice) to as many people as possible, he obeyed. He traveled and taught in a dozen countries in Europe, Japan, North America and Mongolia.
This site now takes over so that his teachings will live on through space and time.
A little history
Blue Eagle was born in Saskatchewan, Canada to a French-speaking family. Therefore, he was not born on a reservation and did not experience the horrors of residential schools. Being young, his family never revealed his Amerindian ancestry. His family had 4 Native American ancestors but did not adopt or share their culture.
At the age of 17, he left the family circle to study music at Laval University in Quebec City. It was then that an ancestor appeared to him in a dream. He revealed his Amerindian lineage and asked him to follow the red path (his origins were later confirmed by a genealogist and his family). This was followed by a 25 year quest during which he was trained in the ancestral Native American health care techniques of the Anigadohah (Bear) clan of the Keetowah (branch of the Cherokee) with elements from the Mohawk, Apache, Innu and Chippewa Nations.
Blue Eagle lives in Canada and close to the USA, so his shamanic practices are those of North America. He practices daily the meditations, dances, ceremonies and other practices he received during his shamanic initiation.
The fact of not being officially Indian (i.e. not being recognized by the Canadian government as such) keeps the door open to criticism and pettiness of all kinds. On the other hand, it preserved him from the traumas that most Amerindians of his generation had to endure. He sought out the most comprehensive education possible from several Elders from different Nations who had managed to preserve their ancestral traditions during the years when they were forbidden. This ban on honoring ancestral ceremonies and practices was passed into law by the governments of the United States and Canada for many years. It is one of several policies of cultural genocide. As a result of this ban, much of the spiritual teachings have been forgotten among the indigenous people of Canada and the United States.
Today, Blue Eagle longs for tranquility and wonder. Today’s world is changing rapidly and many people understand that modern patterns do not elevate the soul. In retirement, he still continues to teach. For this purpose, he now prefers the quiet of his home. He uses new technologies while keeping the spirit of the talking circle and the sacred space, through these virtual media.
Shamanism in this site
You will find much of the teaching thus received, especially in the “Let’s Create the World” training. However, the transmission of ancestral knowledge is traditionally done orally. A website can therefore in no way claim to lead anyone to an initiation and even less to a shamanic recognition.
The PCC (Certified Shamanic Practitioners) trained and recognized by Aigle Bleu, can accompany the aspirants in their practices.
Occasionally, Aigle Bleu still offers trainings and initiations for its practitioners. The calendar on this site will help you find events that can help you on your way, mainly offered by its successors.
The objective here is to bring you to understand realities other than those of the so-called modern world in which we live. This site proposes a traditional North American shamanic approach, a synthesis of the most efficient methods that Aigle Bleu has found. He has adapted them to the modern world in which we evolve, since it is also a characteristic of the ancestral shamanic path: It is there to help the people and must therefore evolve according to the changing circumstances of life.
This red path that is offered to you, invites you to a fantastic universe where magic and dreams take a place that has been forgotten in this modern world, infusing the sacred and the marvelous through the everyday. Everyday life then takes on meaning, offering the possibility of creating a world more in harmony with nature, the true and the beautiful!
Have a good trip! 🙂
